Purpose and input

LifeZen arranges photographed items and packaging to a waste category and explains a likely way of waste. No user account is required. Please do not photograph people, addresses, documents or other confidential content.

Camera, Photo and AI Processing

The chosen image is encrypted to the own operated OpenZen infrastructure in Germany and there is processed with OpenZen AI. It is not transmitted to an external AI provider or to a third country, not permanently stored and not used for training.

Location and municipal rules

The location is voluntary. insofar as it is used, it is only used to determine appropriate regional waste indications. Alternatively, a location can be selected manually. LifeZen does not create a movement profile.

Server Protocols, Advertising and Tracking

The German access server can process technical necessary connection data such as IP address, time and requested function in short time in security protocols. LifeZen does not contain advertising and no marketing tracking. OpenZen does not sell personal data.

App Stores and External Places

Apple and Google process data in their own responsibility when downloading and store functions. For binding waste rules, the information of your municipality or your waste supplier applies.

Their rights

In the legal framework there are rights to information, correction, deletion, limitation of processing, data transferability, objection and withdrawal of a consent. datenschutz@openzen.info Appeals can be addressed to the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
